eLearning

The eLearning unit started as a faculty initiative to increase the use of eLearning at the Faculty of Medicine in 2019. These plans were focused on introducing lecturers at FOM to eLearning as use of the university’s eLearning platform was not common among the lecturers. Needless to say, the COVID-19 pandemic forced a rethink of this strategy. As online learning became a necessity, we hired a fulltime technology-focused instructional designer to provide teaching and learning training and support to faculty members, developed and launched more online short courses targeted at healthcare professionals, and explored innovation in research and practice through collaborations and projects with students, lecturers and international collaborators.
